June 15 World Wide Dance
The Woodstock Ballet Studio will perform dances from around the world. Get ready to move it and groove it!

June 22 Martial Arts!
Young Masters Martial Arts will demonstrate Asian martial arts and other fighting crafts. Kick, punch, duck!

June 29 Chinese Kite Festival
Join us for stories about Chinese traditions and craft your own kite.

July 6 Make It Rain!
Do the rain dance with your craft African rainstick and get ready for the downpour.

July 13 Around the World Clay Craft
Come join us as local artist Kris Ryback teaches us about clay art made by different people around the world and helps us craft something from clay.

July 20 Global Storytelling
Local storyteller, Mr. Ben Rosenfeld will be here to tell tales from around the world.

Summer Reading Club Sign Up Information:
Club Members can begin their Summer Reading Club journey when they register beginning June 3rd at the library’s Travel Agency in the Children's Room to receive a "Passport to Read" reading log. At home, readers will record their reading time in their passports. For pre-readers parents and friends should keep track of "read to me time" spent reading with their child.

Eclipse Movie Release Party
Our favorite vampires (and werewolves) are back on the big screen. Come show off your trivia knowledge and prove your love for all things Eclipse. We’ll have games, crafts, and more.

Ages: Grades 6-12

Wacky World Adventure Hour
The Magic Storyteller, Mr. Chris McBrien, will introduce us to inventors around the world with his amazing magic and daring tricks!

Ages: 2 and up

Book a Trip Finale: “Willy Wonka”
Gather at the Woodstock Opera House for the performance of “Willy Wonka” by the Woodstock Youth Theater performers.
Day/Date: Friday/July 23
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Age: 3 and up
Admission: By ticket only
Ticket vouchers are earned through participation in the Summer Reading Program. Vouchers must be redeemed at the Opera House
Box Office in advance of the performance, and accompanying adults can purchase tickets at that time.
 

Summer Reading Club Splash Party
Dive right in for an evening of swimming fun. Whether you are a swimming champ or just a splasher, drop into the Woodstock Water Works for a cool dip in the pool.

Celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer fun with Jeanie B.’s interactive music concert. Visitors can also register for the “Book a Trip” Summer Reading Program and receive their Passport to Read. Call the library to sign up for either the afternoon or evening performance.

Donate Blood— Get a Twilight T-shirt!
WPL will host Heartland Blood Centers’ Mobile Coach on Tuesday, July 20th in the library parking lot. Donated blood will benefit area hospitals. All donors must be at least 17 years of age or 16 years of age with a guardian and must show a photo ID prior to donating. Donors will receive a Twilight t-shirt.

Friends Shelf Reading Party
Join the Friends of Woodstock Public Library to help straighten up the library shelves and make new friends. Shelf Reading is checking each book on the shelf to make sure it is in the correct Dewey Decimal order. An accuity for numbers is helpful, but not required. Training by library staff will be offered at the beginning of each session. 16 years old and older are welcome to participate.
