Spanish Language Storytime
Families who speak or are learning Spanish can enjoy stories,crafts, and songs together at our Spanish-language
storytime. This is also a great opportunity for children in the Dual Language Program to practice using Spanish
outside of the classroom. Admission is free. This program is conducted entirely in Spanish.

Join us for stories about exotic animals from far off places and a trumpeting elephant craft.

June 24—A Rainbow of Friends
Friends can be near, friends can be far. Today we’ll talk about making new friends and read stories about boys and girls from around the world. We’ll make traditional Mexican paper flowers for our craft.

July 1—Mail Delivery!
Where will a stamp take your letter? Join us for stories about sending mail to people we love all over the world. Create your own letter and envelope to be mailed to a loved one or back to yourself. Bring an address.

July 8—Around Town
Towns are made up of the people who live in them. Join us for stories about towns near and far. Design your own house, inspired by local architecture or something you come up with all on your own.

July 15—Transportation Station
We’ll read stories about planes, train, trucks, and ships.
Complete a transportation map, complete with 3D cars and trains for playing.

July 22—Journeys
Book a trip and take a journey! Join us for stories about taking a journey—with our feet or with our hearts.
We’ll tie-dye today! Bring a prewashed white garment of clothing. Dye and rubber bands provided.

At home, readers will record their reading time in their passports. For pre-readers parents and friends should keep track of "read to me time" spent reading with their child.
