Half Price Fine Week - June 7-12, 2010
At the Woodstock Public Library

Pay only HALF the total amount for your overdue fines, lost or damaged charges**, and collection agency fees during Half Price Fine week.  We are encouraging anyone who has charges on their library card account to clean the slate and start the summer off right – FINE FREE!

Lost and damaged materials cost the library money to replace or repair.
Help us out by clearing them up at half price! This special deal will only be offered June 7-12!

**Fine amnesty only applies to WPL materials and charges.

Ice Cream Social at City Band Concert
The Friends of Woodstock Public Library will host an Ice Cream Social during the Woodstock Community Band Concert on the Square.

Scholastic Book Fair
Celebrate Christmas in July by attending the Library’s Scholastic Book Fair to benefit Woodstock’s Christmas Clearing House. Stock up with books for your children and all of the birthday parties they will be going to in the next few months! All proceeds from the Book Fair will go towards buying books for the children of Christmas Clearing House. You may also make a  book or monetary donation towards our goal of ensuring that every child on the Clearing House list receives a new book for Christmas. The book fair will run from Thursday, July 8 through Wednesday, July 14 during regular library hours.

Led by WPL librarians, this walking tour covers the many beautiful and historic homes and buildings near the Woodstock Square. Participants will enjoy stories about our community’s past residents and their ways of life. Architectural details will be pointed out along the way. Meet the group at the Spring House on the Woodstock Square just before 1 p.m.

Maggie Crane leads you through the many beautiful and historic homes and buildings near the Woodstock Square. Enjoy stories about our community’s past residents and way of life. Architectural details will be pointed out along the way.

Library materials may be returned in the book drop to the right of the library doors and at the book return at the Wonder Lake State Bank in Wonder Lake IL (3316 Thompson Road).

Technology Petting Zoo
Come out and try some of our favorite technology resources. Library staff will be on-hand to demonstrate our catalog, databases, and online resources. See how easy it is to download an audio book, reserve the latest bestseller on our website, or register for a library program online. Participants will be issued an exhibit map to be stamped at each tech table visited. Completed maps will be entered to win prizes!
