Welcome!

The library's  Children Room is a dynamic place for learning, exploring, and growing. Computers are available for children's games and internet use. Friendly staff is ready to help you find what you need. The rotunda offers children space to interact with one another and play with a rotating collection of toys, legos, and more.

Programs

A full range of programs is available year round for children of all ages. Please check our Calendar for programs and registration information. In addition, a PDF of upcoming programs is listed under Upcoming Programs. For programming for children in 6th grade and older, please see the Teen Stuff section.

Materials

In addition to books, a growing collection of DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, puzzles, puppets, and CD-ROM software is available for check out. Materials are available for children ages birth to 18 along with materials for parents, teachers, and caregivers. In addition to our English materials, the library has a growing Spanish-language collection.

Children can also check out Activity Backpacks on a wide variety of subjects - from Ancient Egypt to Yoga. The backpacks combine books, with educational toys, puzzles, and other media.

Tumblebooks

The TumbleBook Library is a fun and interactive library of animated, talking story books for preschoolers, beginner readers and older independent readers.  Read along and listen, or read on your own. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing story books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic story book.
